Mission Statement:  To help children (by both prevention and intervention) from primarily single parent homes to develop positive personal growth by enabling them to interact with screened and trained adult volunteers on a one-to-one basis through professional supervision as support services.

Children:  Also known as "Littles" or clients are between the ages of 5 and 16.  Most of our children do come from single parent homes, but this is not a requirement.  What we require of the child is that they are in need of a friend.  They may need someone to talk to, spend time with, do homework with, look up to as a role model and help direct them into a responsible adult.

Adults:  Also known as "Big" or volunteer must be at least 18 years old.  They are required to have a means of transportation and insurance.  We screen, interview and evaluate all volunteers prior to their acceptance.  They do not need any special skills or hobbies and are not parent substitutes.  Married couples may apply to become a "Big" of one child together.  A case manager assists the matches in their relationship.

The children are our future, let's help guide them into a better tomorrow!
